Inspiring View

So, I've been dabbling in photography, lately. I've always loved to do crazy editing on my pics, adding wild colors and making extreme adjustments, but recently, I acquired a new boyfriend who was a professional photographer. Mike has been teaching me about the basics of photography and I am having a blast, taking pics around this area.
This photo was taken from Hamilton Park, in Weehawken, NJ. It's just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from where I live and has one of the most, spectacular views of NYC you can find. I love how the Sun setting makes the buildings look as though they are on fire!
So if you're ever in this area, and love beautiful views, try to make the time for a drive down Blvd. East. You won't regret it. :)
With depth of field,
Bettina

Dance For Joy

Dance For Joy
Dance For Joy,
originally uploaded by fairywebmother.
Here's my latest art journal page. I've been art journaling all over the place, lately. So behind in my blogging. Anyway, this is a mixed media spread using all sorts of techniques. There's some obvious collaging, but also lots of painting, printing, and some masking tape resist. So much more I want to share and WILL share, soon! If you want to see the progression, I photographed this, while it was in process. Go see the rest of the images at flickr. :) Just click on the little picture to make that happen and to see the image at full size.

Bright Blessings...and keep dancing for joy!

Bettina
